"Nick" Ferris is an accomplished publisher, entrepreneur, musician and
author with over 23 years experience in publishing.

He is an award winning international marketer and authority on best
practice marketing across America. In his day job, Nick works for
Euromoney Institutional Investor, an international business-to-business
media group focused primarily on the international finance, metals and
commodities sectors. It publishes more than 70 magazines, newsletters
and journals with revenues in 2008 of $531m. It is majority owned by Daily
Mail & General Trust. Throughout his 13 year tenure Nick has worked in
the European and American offices as well as overseeing Asian offices.

His managerial roles have ranged from building multiple new
businesses, to acquisitions, company wide marketing oversight and even
heading up IT.
Prior to Euromoney Institutional Investor Nick was Marketing Director and Head of Venture Capital for Hayklan
Industries where he launched an Irish business newspaper, Ukraine Railway magazine and many other diverse
business interests from property investments across Europe to running a gym in Southampton and department
stores in Eastern Europe.. His previous roles include copywriting for legal publications, freelance journalist
(writing for The Times, Independent and other national newspapers) as well as forming his own mail order
business catering to students. Nick graduated from Nottingham University with a joint degree in law and politics.

The road to "Regrets" was a long one and often involved Champagne. Whilst conquering the world of finance,
Nick's extensive interests in the arts have been a continued welcomed distraction. Nick was an avid sketcher
when he was young - creating whole cities and towns in pencil. His writings cross many different genres - he
built a collection of over 1000 poems (as yet unpublished), had two books published and has written short films,
stories, sitcoms and features.

His musical 'talents' are still as yet undiscovered (and some say they never will be) - but he has written and
recorded with several bands, produced many CDs and even written a theme tune for Ricky Gervais. Nick's art
interests are also expressed in his art collection which features originals from across the world including Dali
and John Lennon, as well as more obscure artists such as Jane Andrews. Nick's motto is pretty simple - he
doesn't want anyone else to have the same picture that he has on his wall! Nick dipped his toe in the artistic
world of exhibitions in February 2009 with his first show entitled "Napkins" - an irreverent look at Napkin art
drawn by him and his friends. More information for Napkins can be see at

Other activities include marathon running, tennis and running a Theatre/Film production company ("English Rose
Productions" -
englishroseproductions.com) that helps nurture upcoming American playwrights, combining with
English production values. English Rose Productions has produced three off-Broadway plays as well as short
films and has a documentary and sitcom in production.

Nick recently completed the London Marathon on April 26th 2009 for Sense charity that is also being supported
as part of this fundriaising exhibition.

Nick is 37 and resides in New York. He doesn't sleep as much as he would like.
